Deaf Social Picnic at the Crandon Park on Labor Day








On Labor Day of September 6th, Deaf Social will be hosting a BBQ cook-out picnic at the Crandon Park which is located in the Key Biscayne. We will be doing fund raising for Florida Association of the Deaf's Youth Development Program. There are costs which will be $10 per adult and $5 per student. Children under age of 5 can come and eat for free.

There will be varying of food and beverage under the pavilion #5. Everyone is welcomed to come to meet while having fun playing, swimming, or sunbathing.

Parents are encouraged to bring children. There is a playground not far off from where we will be hosting.

Crandon Park is in the Key Biscayne. To get to the park, you will come up with toll. From there, it is about five miles, about ten minutes drive. Our location will be in the "South Beach" inside the Crandon Park (not South Beach from Miami Beach). The parking at the Crandon Park costs $6.

If you want to avoid paying for parking, you can either carpool or ride on the city bus route B leaving Brickell Metrorail Station which runs every 30 minutes.


For Direction from I-95 Southbound:

  • Take exit 1A toward Rickenbacker Causeway/Key Biscayne
  • Turn left at SW 26th Rd
  • Continue onto FL-913 S/Rickenbacker Causeway Continue to follow FL-913 S Partial toll road
  • Drive past Miami Seaquarium.
  • Drive until you see Crandon Park Tennis and Golf place, it is on the opposite on the left.
  • Go to Crandon Park's "South Beach"
  • We are under Pavilion #5.
